Awkwafina

American musician and actor Awkwafina was the first to debut her sly hip-hop tracks that addressed racial identity and sexuality with the most outrageous comedy perspective prior to expanding her reach into Hollywood. Nora Lum was born to Chinese Korean immigrants living in Forest Hills Queens. Her first experience with music came from the trumpet. Classical, jazz and hip-hop lessons began when she was in her teens. At college, she concentrated on her studies and majored in women's journalism and the arts. for a brief amount that was spent in Beijing as well, she was also studying Mandarin. After graduating, it wasn't until that she switched her focus on music. In 2012 her track My Vag a response to Mickey Avalon's My Dick found viral success over the Internet before settling on her debut LP Yellow Ranger in 2014. This album also featured viral hits such as the body-positive Queef or winking hometown tour in NYC Bitche$. It was also included in Awkwafina's NYC travel guide published in the year 2015. Once she had established herself as a singer and author, she took on acting roles. She has appeared in films like Neighbors 2 Storks, and Bad Rap. The actress made headlines in 2018 with a few high profile films, including Dude Ocean's Eight and Crazy Rich Asians. Her EP came out, in Fina We Trust in June in the same year.
