Anna Leigh Ashford

Annaleigh Amanda Ashford (born April 14th 20th, 1980) is an American actor, singer and dancer. Her career began with Broadway career with musicals such as Wicked Blonde and Hair. The actress was awarded the Tony Award for Best Featured actress in the Play for playing Essie Carmichael in You Can't Take It With You. Annaleigh Ashford Tony Award winner actor has collaborated with numerous acclaimed directors and actors in the stage and on television. The award-winning actress continues her career with her upcoming projects. Ashford is scheduled to be as a co-star with Kumail Nanjiani on the Hulu restricted show Welcome to Chippendales from creator Robert Siegel premiering on November 22. Ashford's latest project includes the Searchlight Pictures horror thriller Dust that he will be starring with Sarah Paulson and Ebonmoss-Bachrach. The film will stream through Disney's DTC platforms as a Hulu Original. Ashford is set to be back in 2023. He will play opposite Josh Groban at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre to perform the revival of Stephen Sondheim Sweeney Todd. Thomas Kail, director and producer of Hamilton will direct the production. Ashford appeared as Paula Jones most recently in Ryan Murphy's FX's American Crime Story Impeachment, inspired by the incident that took place in the year 2000. Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp were the principal characters of the first ever impeachment hearing in America. She was part of the cast for two seasons of the cult CBS comedy B Positive. In addition, she appeared on the cult series, created by Marco Pennette Chuck Lorre, in which she starred alongside legendary actors Linda Lavin Hector Elizondo Ben Vereen. She is no stranger to Broadway Ashford has won both the Tony Drama Desk Award and the Outer Critics Circle Awards with her portrayal of Essie. The actress has also appeared in Broadway in Sunday in the Park With George Wicked, Legally Blonde in addition to the original character as Lauren In Kinky Boots for which she received a nomination for an Tony Award. Ashford has been raised in Denver, now spends time traveling between Los Angeles & New York.
